I have recently launched my two children, whom I homeschooled, and do not want to squander all the childcare knowledge I have aquired over the years. I was a nanny for several years before I had my children, and have been a preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school teacher at a homeschool resource center while I raised them. I had planned to focus full-time on freelance editing once my children were in college, but I really miss working with infants and young children, and I feel that I could be an invaluable resource to parents in the throws of the wonderful, exhausting, and scary early stages of parenting. I am a college graduate, have been live-scanned and certified in first aid and CPR, and I am available for full or part time work. As I haven’t been a nanny for over twenty years, I have unfortunately lost touch with Read more the families that I worked for. I do, however, have recommendations from parents whose children I have taught more recently, as well as from the owners of the resource center which employed me in recent years. At this time, I am most interested in working with infants. I am not interested in being a housekeeper who watches over the children. I am interested in being a hands on child and infant care professional. I would be more than happy to support you by taking the baby or children to doctor visits, play dates, museums, parks, auditions, classes, your office for midday feedings, and even the grocery store. I can stay over night when you want to get away, and can accommodate an uncertain schedule. I can do school pickups, preschool prep, homeschooling, and homework. I love to do all kinds of crafts and creative projects, and I make the best play dough you will ever use.
