I have a Degree in Psychology and studied Music and Theater. I appeared in numerous productions and am a vocalist. I also have a Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love to dance and work with puppets. Often a child that is upset will talk to the puppet first, it is can be very calming and comforting to the child. It also is a way to build a child's imagination and creativity. I have tons of energy and love to dance and play with children, as well as work with them to help develop their cognitive, emotional, physical and emotional development. I enjoy reading to children and make the characters come alive. Out door play is very important to me, if it snows, I bundle them up and go outside to play as long as it is all right with the parent's. I enjoy taking walks with the children and point out the colors of flowers, trees, bees, animals and just about everything. I also enjoy creating with children as they discover and develop their interests. Because of my experience and education I have developed a deeper understanding of a child's brain development from infancy onward. When children are upset, it is usually because they have a need that they do not have the skill to express. Understanding this has helped me to be able to get down to the child's level and listen in order to understand their need. Patience is utmost important. I am a very warm, affectionate and friendly person. I cannot think of a higher calling than to love a child unconditionally and bring out the very best in them.
