Current availability: Currently, I am fully available to commit to date night sitting, occasional mother's helper, or commit to part-time hours on a weekly basis. About me: My passion in life is to help people be able to enjoy themselves and learn, especially young children.  I remember going to day camp when I was younger and how fun and enriching the activities were, and I would love to be able to recreate that for someone else.  I am also interested in becoming an early childhood development specialist, and hope that this interest will be fulfilled.  I believe that the crux of one's life is established during childhood, so it is a crucial period for people to be enriched! I have a B.A in Sociology from the University of Washington, class of 2012. I began college with a desire to become a teacher or counselor for young children. My studies focused Read more on public education and the political and social ramnifications of how education is viewed and handled in our society. I participated in many internships which focused on these issues. During college, I worked at the Associated Recreation Council of Seattle where I was a part of the team of dedicated individuals who took care of students after they got out of school until their parents picked them up. I was responsible for tutoring and organizing activities for the kids to participate in. I have been a nanny and daytime sitter for children of all ages, including infants. I have always enjoyed being around children, and believe that they have much more wisdom than society as a whole gives them credit for (even the little ones who can't speak yet)! I believe that children should have fun while learning. They should be supported and have their physical and emotional needs catered to as often as possible. I believe that the safety of the little ones I am responsible for is of the utmost importance. Ideally, I would love to work with a family as if I were family. I believe that the best way I can help your children is if you can fully entrust me with your children. Communication is important to me, as I believe that honest and consistent interaction is the best way for me to help you!
