Hi everyone! My name is Allie and I am a 25 year old working professional looking to start helping a family part-time. I am a 2019 graduate from the University of Portland; I have my Bachelor of Arts in psychology and Spanish with a minor in neuroscience. I have worked in healthcare since that time as a medical assistant, clinic coordinator, and medical scribe. I currently have a really cool job as a clinical research coordinator for a private company; we primarily work with kiddos and do a lot of vaccine studies in their final phases. As an hourly employee I am looking to supplement my income. I have worked with kids since high school in some form or another. My work in psychology has helped me develop a style of childcare which emphasizes nurturing each child, helping them navigate complex emotions, and creating an environment that allows children to thrive. In my free time, I love to explore Portland's wine country and coffee scene. I'm very active and enjoy spin classes and weight-lifting. I have a huge sweet tooth for chocolate chip cookies and I'm a firm believer that Blue Star has the best donuts.
