Hi I'm Emily, I have a solid background working with children for the past 5 years, and have received my Childcare credential from Madison College. I began working with children a few years ago at Little Strokes in Waunakee, as a swim instructor for children from age 2 up to 12 years. I learned so much from working with kids one on one in the pool. I taught at Leap Academy in Waunakee, as the lead 2-year-old teacher; after beginning as an assistant teacher in the 3-year-old room there as well. On many occasions I was asked to substitute or help out in several other rooms including infants, 12-24 month olds as well as 4K. I enjoyed the time I was able to spend getting to know the children in my classroom, as well as getting to know their families and forming relationships with both. My philosophy is comfort and Read more joy. As simple as that sounds it can be the most important thing for any child. My goal is to be someone children can trust to help, love, nurture, encourage, hug, etc. It is so important to me that the children in my care feel loved and cared for.
