I have three wonderful children who are now 13, 17 and 20. They are all honor roll students, well mannered, and morally solid. I am very proud of all three of my children. I chose to be a stay-at-home mother for 16 years after my first child was born and it was definitely the best decision for our family. I graduated from college with a B. A. in Fashion Merchandising and Business. Although, I worked in the retail buying and management field for 7 years, I chose not to go right back into corporate America when I decided to start working again. I have tried a couple of different things, but I have found my niche as a nanny. I love being with the little ones and every day at work is different and fun. My first nanny position lasted over a year and was for a really awesome family Read more (mom was a nurse whose schedule changed or I would still be with them). They have four boys who are now ages 3, 5, 9 and 12. They also have a crazy, but fun golden retriever. I took care of the boys from A to Z; some examples are changing diapers, meal preparation and clean up, naps, playtime, etc. I would also do whatever I could to help out their busy mom (light housekeeping, laundry, etc.), as the kids' schedule allowed. I still babysit for this family and we are all very close. Last summer, I took care of a baby girl and absolutely loved it! I have also recently gained experience with 1-year-old twin boys who are just a delight! I can provide references from all of these positions upon request. I am looking for a long term position with the right family. I would say that if you are looking for an addition to your family unit (not just a babysitter), then we would probably be a good fit! I'm very easy to get along with and can be very flexible with my availability. I can be available for date nights. I like spontaneity with my kids from day to day (especially in the summer). I vary the activities I do based on the children's ages, but some examples are baking, arts and crafts, reading, movies, games, and many outdoor activities. With my babies I also read, sing songs and keep them engaged during the time that they are awake. I like to keep in close contact with the parents during the day, so they know how their children are doing. I believe in taking care of my "nanny kids" with as much understanding and love as my own children. I don't smoke and am ok with pets. I get paid weekly and in cash, and prefer to keep it that way.
