Hello! My name is Tapenga. When I graduated high school I went into the early childhood development field. I only spent a semester in that field, but I got hired on as a daycare teacher at the YMCA child learning center. I worked there for 2 years and unfortunately did not receive a raise in those 2 years so I had to leave. I realized that I really want to help children that need more help than others. Children who are neglected, abused, homeless, etc. So I decided to pursue my career in the human services field. I now have my associate degree in human services and am very happy with how far I have come!
