I was born and raised in a village in the mountains of Nepal and growing up, I was always surrounded by children, including neighboring kids and of course my own siblings and cousins. I have had two strong interests in my adult life: taking care of children and fresh, tasty, nutritious food. I love to be with children and to take care of them and I love fresh, nutritious food. As a mother, I’ve raised two children, both of whom are older now and pursuing interesting and productive careers in non-profit community service leadership and music, one in Washington, DC, and the other in New York City. We wanted to be closer to our children, so after my husband retired, we decided to move from our home in Madison, Wisconsin to Baltimore, Maryland. After more than twenty years in Wisconsin, we left in late May and arrived here on June Read more 1, 2017. I have excellent health and I practice good eating and exercise habits to keep it that way. I have worked from time to time in day-care and taken care of children in my own home. I am exceptionally clean and very attentive to children. I have had training pertinent to caring for children. I’ve taken two courses from the American Heart Association: Pediatric First Aid CPR AED and CPR AED. I received Certified Nursing Assistant Training at Madison-Area Technical College in Madison, WI. Finally, while I ran my own restaurant, I took training from the Wisconsin State Department of Health to be a Certified Food Manager. Now that we are here in Maryland, I will take recertification training.
