I took a year off after high school to focus on volunteer work, some of this includes PT/OT departments, centers for those with special needs, nursing homes, church nurseries, orphanages, youth homeless shelters (I recently received volunteer of the year!) I worked at the UWM daycare with infants, but left that because I wanted to build more one on one relationships with children and wasn't finding that in the daycare setting. Since then, I have babysat or nannied for 3 families with children ranging from ages infant to 13 years old. I'm a recent college graduate with a major in occupational studies. I also have a minor in psychology and counseling with a certificate in therapeutic recreation.
