Hello there, my name is Emily! I'm a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee obtaining a degree in Nursing in May of 2023. My goals with my education is to become a Registered Nurse and work within a pediatric unit, or maternity unit to help deliver babies and be involved with family planning within our communities. Before getting into Nursing School, I worked at UWM's Children's Learning Center for three years within all of the units (Infancy-School-Aged), finishing off my employment with a position of a Lead Caregiver, or an assistant Lead Teacher, which gave me leadership and responsibility over multiple children at one time in terms of their safety and development. This position brought me an immense amount of joy that it has influenced me to want to work with children of all ages and development stages.
