When I was 10 I began working as a mother's helper and I have been caring for kids ever since. Though I have experience in all ages, the bulk of it is with children infant through elementary. I've worked with children who had severe illnesses, work with children at a day home called 'Mental Health and Deafness Services' applying my ASL skills and caretaker skills to working with kids who were deaf and had varying other disabilities as well. Multiple full time nanny positions have almost always been in families of multiples which feels very natural to me at this point. My care style leans towards gentle caretaking. Children are little people, and I believe listening to them is extremely important and support choices in their bodily autonomy while also making sure they are safe. Play and language are the best ways to grow their brains and imaginations, and I feel privileged to be part of a child's life caring for them and helping them grow along side their parents as we strive to work together to help your child be the best, happiest version of themselves.
