Been doing eldercare since 10/98 & have since retired but fell into a kidsitting situation just over a year ago for 3 children, ages 7, 5, & 2. I absolutely love them & they love me. Situation has changed recently with their dad, who is my friend, losing his job & now able to be at home with his kids. Mom goes to school during the day. I have 4 grown children of my own who along with their spouses have given me 6 beautiful grandchildren. They all live within an hour of me. I have State CBRF certifications that are/were required to work in group homes such as Assisted Living facilities and Adult Family Homes. Aside from life experience, my passion comes to me from an extremely loving grandmother who had a kind and caregiving nature for others. Because of her, I have always had a special love for Read more the care of older folks, special needs children and adults, and a great love for infants. Once a mom, always a mom, and there is nothing else in the world like the care of infants. Newborns will always be my first choice but, of course, I would happily care for anyone who needs me. Due to my living situation being in a HUD development, I would be interested in a cash only job. Anything that I would show as earned income would cause my rent to be raised and I am extremely below poverty level and could not afford a rent increase of any kind. I would love to help with these newborns and would probably even do it for a limited time with no payment at all BUT let's pretend that I did not just say that. Since it would be right here in Port Washington, I would be happy to help out at nearly any time. Whatever you would be willing to pay in cash would be just fine with me. It asked me to put in amounts that I would like hourly but I am open to whatever the family deems fair. Money is just not that important to me.
