I started babysitting at the age of 12. I began babysitting my two, little cousins which fist taught me the basics of childcare. I then moved on to a summer babysitting/nanny job with my next door neighbors. It was multiple days a week, for about 8 hours a day. Although I was not able to drive, I found ways to be creative and get the kids out of the house. My first actual childcare job was in the nursery at the Prairie athletic club where I learned how to properly handle kids of all ages, including infants:) I now only occasionally babysit for a family when I am home from college. I drive the kids around and make them meals while also doing my best to entertain them. I'm hoping to find a nanny job for the summer where I can further learn how to be a responsible adult. I think I would be perfect for any family that wants there kids to be active and learn a healthy lifestyle while also building a bond by playing, reading, or doing arts and crafts:)
