After my au pair term was over, I went back to Brazil and worked as an English teacher, my students were better 6 and 15 years old. In 2024 I came back to the US with a second au pair term, I cared for a 18 month old, 3 and 5 year old. I also did full time volunteer work in a day care, watching babies between 6 and 18 months. I spent about a year as a live-in nanny for a baby girl, starting when she was 3 months old and staying with her through 11 months — it was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.
