I have currently watched kids from all ages, ranging from 4 weeks to 11 years. I also grow up with a lot of cousins that I help take care of. I have currently worked at a daycares and schools since I was 17. I am 25 and now a lead toddler teacher for the past 1. 5 years. Earlier in my career, I spent several years working with children of all ages across a variety of settings, and infants were always where my heart was. I spent about a year as a live-in nanny for a baby girl, starting when she was 3 months old and staying with her through 11 months — it was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. I also cared for another infant, a 3-month-old, on a regular basis, and worked with a family with a 1-year-old and a kindergartener, handling morning school drop-offs, lunch prep, daily activities, and enrichment for the younger one, like library trips and socialization time. Hi! My name is Kayla, and I'm a longtime early childhood educator and new mom looking to connect with a local family seeking a nurturing, Montessori-inspired environment for their little one. I have 10+ years of professional experience working with young children, primarily in the Loudoun County area. Throughout my career, l've served as a Teacher, Assistant Director, Senior Assistant Head of School, and Head of School, with the latter part of my career spent in the Montessori community. I also have several years of private nannying and babysitting experience.
