Hi! My name is Allie, and I am a 22 year old recent graduate of WVU where I was a biology major! For two summers, I spent nearly every day working as a mentor to children ages 3-10 through the AmeriCorps program Energy Express, which is a "read and feed" program that serves at-risk and vulnerable students throughout West Virginia. Although that is the extent of my paid positions in which I was able to work with children, I have a whopping 16 younger cousins (currently ages 2-15) that I have spent countless hours babysitting, tutoring, and planning the best sleepovers with from the time they were born. Because of this, I understand what it takes to care for children of all ages, even newborns. I also love pets, and I have two dogs of my own named Dundie and Fern!
