2 small terriers, 2 average size cats, one of which you'll never see. The dogs are used to going out for the last time of the day, around 10:00 pm and getting up at 4:00 am. during the week. Weekends they get up between 6:30 and 7:00 am. so they should be fine with that.

They'll scratch at the door to the yard when the want out, and back in. One will often bark. They do NOT synchronize their in-and-outs. One or the other, but seldom both at the same time.
