My husband and I recently rescued a 2-year-old Golden Retriever named Stella. We would like to find a pet sitter we can use on an ongoing basis when we go out of town. Our first choice is to have someone stay at our home and provide overnight care when we are gone. She is a playful, sweet, 50-pound Golden Retriever and is a bit on the mellow side for a 2-year-old. She was abandoned by her previous owners so she's a bit clingy, therefore we'd prefer someone who is around a lot and not gone for long periods of time. I work from home so she's used to someone home a lot. Duties would include feeding breakfast and dinner, walking a couple times each day, and providing lots of attention. She loves her toys and will bring them to your lap over and over. We've had her since late January and she's fully house-trained. We are still working on the jumping. She didn't take well to the crate so we do not use one. She has free range of the house when we leave and she does just fine. She's good on a leash with only minimal pulling but is very squirrel-focused so does get a bit hyper when she's sees them. Currently we have some travel plans to be gone 1 or 2 nights in early August, 4 nights in mid-October, and 7 nights in mid-December. The August and December trips are tentative but can firm up dates once we find the right person!
