I have one dog (dachshund mix) who is home alone during the day. He is about 6 or 7 years old, but he is a rescue so that is an estimate. His behavior indicates that he was abused in the past (he is fearful and defensive of strangers until he has met them a few times). He is especially fearful of men, and even more so if they are wearing hats. He is a simple boy, fixed, who just needs an extra potty break while I am at work so he can continue to nap on the couch comfortably for the remainder of his day. I don't have a lot of extra money, and he is not very needy, so a full hour is definitely not needed. Maybe 15 to 20 minutes is needed for his walk. I have a cat in the house so it's probably best if you aren't allergic, but she doesn't need any care during the day and will likely hide the entire time you are there.

Definitely looking for a female walker who is willing to meet with him ahead of time to establish relationship.
