Looking for an overnight dog sitter in the Hilliard/Galloway area ?

We are looking for a kind, reliable overnight sitter for our senior Golden Retriever from the afternoon of June 6 through the evening of June 13.

Our sweet boy is older and currently recovering from a knee injury while awaiting surgery. He is able to walk on his own and get around the house/backyard independently, but is a little unsteady and needs someone attentive nearby. He does not need walks — just supervised potty breaks in the backyard and lots of companionship.

Responsibilities include:
• Giving oral medications around 8–9am and 8–9pm (for epilepsy)
• Morning feeding/water checks
• Letting him out into the backyard to potty
• Keeping him company and comfortable
• Staying overnight in our non-smoking home (guest room provided)

Additional details:
• He sleeps through the night and only very rarely needs overnight potty breaks
• He can manage the few stairs off our deck into the backyard
• We are trying to minimize unnecessary indoor stairs, especially upstairs
• He does not currently require lifting, sling assistance, or mobility equipment

Because we both work from home, he is very used to having people around, so we ask that he not be left alone for more than about 6 hours at a time.

We live near Hilliard Rome Rd/Feder Rd in a safe, walkable neighborhood.

This could be a great fit for a college student home for summer, someone who works remotely/part-time, or anyone experienced with senior dogs and medications.

Pay is negotiable based on experience. The site required me to enter a number, so please disregard that and feel free to provide your preferred rates when replying along with any relevant experience.

Happy to do a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

Bonus points if you don’t mind feeding a toddler’s goldfish too ?
