We have 2 cats- female, 6-ish years old, no special needs or health issues.

We have a vacation scheduled in June and we need an individual to visit every 3ish days to make sure they have food and water and clean our the litter box. The cats are very shy and they will hide during the visit. You would not be expected to find them.

We have never done this, so we are usure as to what an appropriate rate is.

We would like to meet in advance to coordinate and discuss expectations. We would also like to have some references.
