Hi there! I have two senior dogs named Olive (11) and Louie (13). Olive is a chunky Chihuahua (12lbs), and Louie is a terrier mix (11 lbs). I am looking for overnight sitting in your home. I have a friend who is watching them for the first five days of my vacation but need a sitter for the last five days. They are both housetrained, love taking walks, and are pretty mellow. I usually give them a walk in the morning, one in the late afternoon and another before bed. They can be leash reactive when they see other dogs, so its important to keep a strong hold on their leashes. When off leash they get along with other dogs, but will both make it known if another dog is getting into their personal space a bit too much. They love taking naps during the day and hanging out on the couch. Louie will bark at animals on TV, and I have a bark collar I will send with him should this become annoying. They can be left alone for long periods of time (5-8 hours) as long as they get the chance to go outside first. Louie has started to take Gabapentin at bedtime for sleep, and takes it without any issues with some cheese. They are not kennel trained, but dont have an issue with sleeping in one. Typically they sleep in bed with me, but not necessary for you to do as well.
