Hi! My name is Mercedes, and I’m an 18-year-old student at Caesar Rodney High School in the Teaching Academy program. I’m currently a peer teacher at Nellie Stokes Elementary School, where I work with 3rd and 4th grade students. Through this experience, I’ve developed strong skills in working with children, staying patient, and creating a positive, supportive environment. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15 and truly enjoy spending time with kids of all ages. I love helping with activities, homework, and keeping children engaged in fun and safe ways. My goal is to become a teacher in the future, so working with children is something I’m really passionate about.
