I believe strongly in the power of play and the power of laughter. Whether delivering Occupational Therapy services or nannying in the home, my goal is to create a joyful, nurturing environment where children feel valued and are therefore free to learn. Secret weapons include singing, plenty of outdoor time, a keen sense of observation, early childhood development expertise and the capacity to be silly. I am sensitive to family needs and parenting goals and am skilled at relaying important as well as anecdotal information to the families I work with. My background includes: *Owning/running a private swim instruction school *5 years as a pediatric occupational therapist in a private clinic *5 years as a paraeducator in a public preschool and middle school *1 year as an after-school nanny *Travel nanny in France/Italy *6 months in-home nanny to infant *2 years teaching an exploratory preschool program at Bellevue College
