Hello! I am an experienced childcare provider, educator, mentor, and advocate with a passion for helping children learn, grow, and thrive. My background includes working with at risk youth at John Hope College Prep High School, serving as a CPS paraprofessional for three years, homeschooling my own children as well as children from two additional families for three years, and providing childcare support to essential workers during the COVID pandemic. Community is everything to me. Many people know me as the "neighborhood mom" because my door is always open and my heart is always available. I have spent years supporting children and families by providing guidance, encouragement, meals, academic support, and a safe place when they needed someone to show up for them. I believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, supported, and loved. During COVID, my home became a trusted drop off location for children whose parents were Read more essential workers. I helped families balance work and childcare by providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children could learn, play, and feel secure. This experience strengthened my ability to care for multiple children of different ages while maintaining routines, supporting education, and creating meaningful connections. As both a parent and educator, I understand that every child is unique. I enjoy helping with homework, reading, creative activities, social development, life skills, and confidence building. My experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, including those facing academic and personal challenges, has taught me the value of patience, empathy, consistency, and positive communication. Families can count on me to provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate care. I don't simply watch children. I invest in them. My goal is to create an environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and empowered while giving parents peace of mind knowing their children are being cared for by someone who genuinely loves helping young people succeed.
