I have been caring for children of all ages on and off by myself for about six years. My first long term sitter job was watching three little girls full time for about a year, the mom stays at home now but I still see them occasionally. My next job was a summer gig and it was also three kids, one a toddler and two school aged. The last long term job I had before starting my respiratory therapy program full time, was with a toddler for about a year. Prior to those jobs I worked in the child care part of the YMCA and had done occasional baby sitting since I was 13. I have always loved children and babies since I was little and couldn't wait to be old enough to baby-sit! My mom was a labor and delivery nurse for years and would take me in to Read more see all the newborns at the hospital when I was younger, she is now a nurse practitioner in cardiology at Children's Mercy so I think I got a lot of my love for kids from her. I now have a degree in respiratory therapy but am still looking for the right job for me. I currently work at a restaurant that I started while I was in my college program, but am really missing my sitter days! I would love to find a job watching a kid/kids while they are on their winter school break this year!
