Hello! My name is Meghan! I am 20 years old, and I am currently studying to be an elementary school teacher. My ideal grade to teach is kindergarten, but I would honestly be happy teaching any grade. I have a lot of experience with childcare, especially with younger kiddos. I currently work as a swim instructor in Skokie, and I have been working there for around 9 months. I recently moved to Antioch, so the reason I am looking for a new job is so I can have a shorter commute. I currently drive about 2 hours total for every shift I work, so I'm looking to work closer to home. Over the past several months, I have learned class-managing skills, made close relationships/friendships with my students and their families, and I have obtained many certifications: first aid, CPR, lifeguarding, and swim instructing. I also have 4 sisters, 3 of Read more which are younger than me. One sister is 7 years younger than me, so I have been babysitting her since I was 10 years old (so for the past decade). I also have 2 little sisters who are twins, and they're a year and a half. I have helped put them to sleep, feed them, change their diapers, and I have spent countless hours playing with them and keeping them occupied. Childcare truly is my passion, and I take a lot of pride in that. Overall, I am a very upbeat and energetic person, and I am very excited to continue my journey to becoming a teacher one day.
