Hii! My name is Kayla (I go by Kay), and I’m a dependable, energetic, and caring sitter with 3–5 years of childcare experience working with children from newborns through middle school age. My childcare journey started when I was about 13 in the Virgin Islands, where I volunteered as a junior lifeguard and assistant swim instructor for several summers. That experience helped me develop strong safety awareness, patience, and the ability to keep kids engaged while making sure they are always safe. After that, I worked as a childcare and teacher assistant for children ages 0–8 before moving to the United States. Since living in the Atlanta area, I have babysat independently for families with children ages 1–11 and have cared for up to three children at once. I’ve also volunteered regularly in my church nursery, children’s ministry, and Vacation Bible School programs. I play both piano and clarinet, and I enjoy incorporating creativity and learning into playtime whenever possible. I’m also comfortable supporting bedtime routines, helping children learn responsibility by cleaning up after activities, and keeping a structured but relaxed environment where kids feel safe and happy. I have experience working with children with autism, ADHD, and nonverbal communication needs, and I’m confident providing patient, attentive care tailored to each child. I’m comfortable caring for newborns through older children and can also assist with transportation when needed (with car seats provided). My goal is always to make sure children feel supported, engaged, and cared for while giving parents peace of mind.
