I love getting to know children and value each one as their own individual. I'm currently going to school at WGU to obtain my bachelor's in elementary education. I have provided childcare in my teenage years and adulthood. I've helped a friend watch her infant while she was at work. While substituting for Cleveland City Schools, I have experience in dealing with special needs individuals both elementary and middle school age. I also have two of my own boys who are in elementary school; one had a diagnosis of ASD and the other ADHD. I consistently talk and interact with children as much as I can, enjoying their company while also eager to teach them about things both simple and complex. I also try to listen when children speak, allowing them to sort their thoughts, even if it takes a little while. I have a background in EMT work, but Read more I am NOT licensed. I have experience in giving care to postoperative patients and I am not squeamish as I have a license in phlebotomy and administering IVs. I have a decent understanding of medical care, and have experience in giving care to diabetics, including administering insulin and food preparation. I have a valid driver's license and a car that can fit three passengers comfortably (four passengers maximum.) I am comfortable driving highways, street roads, mountains, and every type of weather imaginable. That includes ice, snow, and heavy winds. I can cook, bake, and follow a recipe. I can clean and take care of an abode reliably. I'm eager to learn ASL and Spanish. I know and can speak conversational German, but it's a bit rusty as there's no where to practice. I'm happy to play tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer 40K, werewolf/Avalon, and board games. I can sew, including making a piece of apparel from scratch, or mending a tear in clothing. I can sew accessories, blankets, and even make alterations to dog outfits. (I also have my own sewing machine and serger.) I'm happy to teach these skills as well. I am decent at mathematics and practice arithmetic mentally. I have a verbose vocabulary, and I'm happy to help with reading and writing. My tying is proficient with 84wpm and I can also type using 10 key.
