I have experience with all ages, having worked in the infant and child rooms at a day care in Denver, a mixed age preschool (including potty training) in California, at a middle school in Estes Park, and babysitting one on one and larger groups of children. At Mixed Greens preschool I learned how to most effectively communicate with children, helping them understand and express their feelings. I take their feelings seriously, I love to explore their interests and answer question. When enforcing a boundary or rule I am careful to explain why, and have successfully guided children into creating rules together. Our preschool primarily followed Reggio Emilia principles, and I loved helping children discover and nurture their interests. I completed first aid and CPR training at the middle school this year, and in the past was certified in infant CPR as well.
