Hi! I'm Karen, an experienced caregiver, mom of two, and longtime homeschool educator who genuinely enjoys spending time with kids of all ages. I have 35+ years of childcare experience, a BA in Psychology, and over 13 years of homeschooling experience. I'm also a Certified Master Life Coach and Meditation Instructor. My approach to childcare is warm, patient, playful, and flexible. I believe kids deserve to be treated as individuals, with their own personalities, interests, and needs. I have extensive experience supporting autistic and ADHD children, as well as children with complex medical needs. I'm comfortable adapting routines, supporting emotional regulation, and helping kids feel safe and understood. I currently have a valid background check through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (previous experience as a PCS caregiver and current Children's Support Broker for DD Services). I also have a current, completed, and cleared Checkr background check (try saying Read more THAT three times fast)! I'm happy to help with homework, creative activities, meals, bedtime routines, and light household tasks. I'm available for date nights, weekends, overnights, occasional daytime care, and recurring arrangements. I'm also comfortable with pets and open to helping with transportation and family logistics. Above all, I want kids to feel safe, respected, and comfortable being themselves, and parents to feel confident that their children are in capable, caring hands. A little silliness and fun along the way never hurts, either!
Trust & safety
We encourage parents to conduct their own screenings using the background check tools. See what each of the badges covered, or learn more about keeping your family safe by visiting the Trust & Safety Center.
