I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy spending time with kids, seeing their personalities shine, helping them discover new things, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. Every child is different, and I love finding ways to connect with each one, whether that’s through play, creativity, or simply listening. I have hands-on experience supervising and engaging with children of all ages, from toddlers to teens. At Main Event, I worked directly with large groups of kids in a busy entertainment setting, keeping them safe, entertained, and comfortable in a high-energy environment. At Harvard University, I served as a Residential Proctor for high school students in a pre-college summer program. While they were older than toddlers, the core of the work was very similar—building trust, keeping students safe, and supporting their emotional and social development. I lived in the dorms with them, helped establish routines, and planned Read more weekly events that fostered connection and community. I was also a point person during emergencies or conflicts, and I learned how to show both compassion and authority at the same time. That experience taught me how important it is for young people, at any age, to feel seen, heard, and cared for in order to thrive. I’m bilingual in Spanish, patient, organized, and creative. I’m also trained in keeping a safe, positive environment and have strong communication skills with both kids and parents. Whether it’s playtime, homework help, or bedtime routines, I’m committed to making each child’s time with me both safe and enjoyable.
