Hello, my name is Michaela Parks. I am a 28-year-old college graduate from Grand Valley State University who studied advertisement and public relations with a business minor. Since the age of 14, I have worked as a babysitter. I have worked with newborns to the age of 12 years old. When I turned 18, I got a job through the City of Kentwood to work after the elementary school for the Kentwood Public Schools. My job title was Activity Leader where I was given a grade to work with Monday through Thursday for the ARCH after-school program. My job was to help with homework, meal preparation for the children, and do activities with them. I was in charge of 18 students specifically while helping other grades. I have been doing that job since 2015. On the side, I also babysat for a single mother for over a year last summer. Read more I am CPR certified and have had hours of extensive training when it comes to child care and child development.
