I have always enjoyed working with children. Before completing my Masters in Education, I worked at a daycare with infants. Being a teacher and having off summers allowed me to help out several families needing child care. I especially enjoy reading children's books, doing crafts, and cooking with preschool children. I believe that having a good mix of learning, play, and some computer time makes a great day! I also feel that having a schedule (with some flexibility) helps children to grow with a routine in a positive way. Being a K-1 teacher I have many books and activities to share. I also love organizing and meal planning if a family could use help with that as well. I have been a wife, mother and teacher for 18 years and now that my son is almost grown I would enjoy mixing my love for teaching and all the things I Read more love doing at home with another family. I also love dogs, so I don't mind if you have pets as well. I am still very close with the family of three girls that I cared for. I am looking to leave teaching at this stage in my life. I look forward to meeting you and your child to see if our schedules and personalities match.
