Hi! My name is Secily Jimenez. I’m a college graduate with a Master’s degree in Sociology and extensive experience caring for children ages 2 and up. I bring a thoughtful, reliable, and nurturing approach to childcare and genuinely love working with kids. I’ve worked with children across a wide range of ages, needs, and cultural backgrounds. My experience includes daycare work at Lakewood Church in Houston; after-school programs where I tutored children, prepared snacks, and kept them engaged; and a full year caring for two children in New York City—supporting homework, structure, and daily routines until their parents returned home. In the summer of 2019, I ran a summer camp in Staten Island, where I was responsible for supervising children, organizing daily activities, maintaining structure and safety, and supporting staff and campers throughout the program. This role strengthened my leadership skills, organization, and ability to manage groups of children in Read more dynamic environments. While in college, I also worked with autistic students in Italy and Puerto Rico through a scholarship program focused on social justice, further deepening my patience, adaptability, and responsiveness to individual needs. With my academic background in sociology, I bring an understanding of child development, family dynamics, and emotional regulation into my caregiving style. I’m dependable, calm under pressure, CPR certified, and open to additional training or certifications.
