My name is Emily Bakhitah, and I am originally from Kenya, Africa. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lancaster Bible College, a path shaped by my deep, inherent desire to be of service to others. As one of nine children, I took on the role of caring for my younger siblings from a very young age. This early experience sparked a lifelong love for children and a commitment to their well-being. While studying in London (2023-2024 academic year), I worked part-time as a babysitter, which further deepened my understanding of child development and care. I believe that nurturing children and instilling positive values in them is fundamental to building a healthier, more compassionate society. My passion for serving children inspired me to start an organization that supports early childhood education in rural villages in Kenya, where I grew up.
