Hi! My name is Lucy, and I am about to begin the M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching) program at my college. Throughout my college experience, I have completed multiple classroom placements for my Elementary Education requirements, which has given me valuable hands-on experience working with children in educational settings! I also have a Special Education add-on and a Psychology minor, which have strengthened my understanding of child development, behavior, communication, as well as the importance of creating supportive environments for children to learn and grow. I enjoy working with kids because I love helping them feel encouraged, safe, and confident! In addition to my educational background, I have worked with children in a variety of settings, including traditional babysitting, overnight summer camps, day camps, and coaching tennis for five years for children ages 3–15 years old.
