Hi there! My name is Denise. I am 49 years young. I’m a home schooling mother of two. My daughter is 16 years old and my son is 14 years old. I grew up in NJ. My father worked full time out of the home and my mom babysat in our house my entire childhood. My house was a non formal daycare. Mom was loved by everyone. My siblings and I grew up with children in our home from infants to 8th grade. It was the house everyone wanted to hang out in. Mom only worked until 5:30pm. At age 12 I started babysitting in the evenings for some of the parents. At age 16 I became a full time nanny in the home of a couple who had two daughters. I took care of them in their house from 8-5, M-F. I did the cooking, cleaning, laundry and childcare. Read more I did that for about a year and loved it. In my 20’s I got my AA in elementary education. I graduated with highest honors and earned a full scholarship for my BA. However, the second semester I became pregnant with my daughter and quit school to raise her wholeheartedly. Two years later we had a son. I’m have been a stay at home mama their whole life. I taught many students in the homeschool community for many years. I adore children and teaching. I’m an all natural mama and self taught herbalist. I made a home based business with it selling herbs, salves, and homemade personal care products like deodorant and soap for extra income. I love creating with herbs! I am great with children and animals and I’m a quick thinker. I enjoy playing with children and I’m excellent in emergency situations. I love being in nature. I prefer to entertain children with natural things and try to avoid tv, media and video games. I only use the internet to research and learn. I have a strong faith which has got me through some difficult times. I love investing in children. They are our future and they deserve a happy, healthy and safe childhood. I hope to bring a family much happiness and joy and in return experience more wonderful interactions with children. My house is in south Florida where I raised my children but we spent the past year in NC near Asheville and fell in love with it there. I’m currently looking to move there permanently and seeking employment in child care. I’m extremely flexible. I will work with any issues you may have.
