Hi! My name is Kate D’Andrea, and I’m a junior at the University of Rhode Island currently seeking a full-time summer nanny position, Monday through Friday. After this semester, I’ll be completing the final year of my degree fully online, and I’m hoping to support the same family long-term beyond the summer. I’m a Greenwich, Connecticut native (born and raised), and working with children has always been a meaningful and consistent part of my life. I truly love being a sitter because I enjoy forming genuine connections with children and becoming someone they feel safe, comfortable, and happy around. Watching kids grow, learn, and build confidence is incredibly rewarding to me. I take pride in creating a fun, positive, and supportive environment where children feel encouraged to be themselves. I have several summers of hands-on experience working with children at Sandpipers Camp and Burning Tree Country Club Camp. In these Read more roles, I cared for children of various ages in both structured and play-based settings. These experiences taught me how to manage groups, navigate different personalities, and keep children engaged, active, and safe throughout the day. In addition, I have babysitting experience with families, assisting with daily routines, activities, and supervision. I’m responsible, patient, and energetic, with strong communication skills and a calm, thoughtful approach to problem-solving. My camp experience helped me develop leadership skills, adaptability, and the ability to think on my feet. I’m great at planning activities, helping with homework or summer learning, and keeping kids entertained while maintaining clear boundaries and prioritizing safety.
