I am a current junior at the University of Washington studying mathematics and business with hopes of eventually going into secondary teaching. I love working with kids as I enjoy their playful energy, honesty (sometimes brutally so), and curiosity. In my free time I enjoy tennis, hiking, reading, and watching K-dramas. I value physical, emotional, and educational health which I also believe are essential to function in society. As for experience, I've worked 3 consecutive years at the YMCA as a summer counselor, mostly working with ages 3-6 but overall up to age 12. The job has taught me how to think fast on my feet, be creative, communicate effectively (both with adults and children), and to foster an environment that ensures safety, fun and respect for both myself and the kids I watch over.
