I am a retired substitute teacher with two grown children. I have worked with children in every capacity from ages newborn to teenagers since I was 12 years old. I have attended Georgia Military College and Valdosta State University and am 3 credits shy of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also took ESOL classes (English as a Second Language) and 1 year of Spanish. I have taken CPR and First Aid classes, as well as, worked as a medical technician in the Emergency Room and Pediatrics in my early 20's. I have always had a love and passion for childhood education and development. There is just nothing like watching a child learn how to walk, speak, or reach the milestones that will eventually become the cornerstone of their precious lives. It's truly amazing to me, and to be able to experience this is a gift. I also Read more have a great fondness of animals. I have plenty of experience with all kinds of farm animals as I have lived and worked on our family farm for 20 years. I'm familiar with not only everyday care and maintenance of animals, but also any medical requirements they may need at home. I am comfortable managing my time with both childcare and any of your pets needs. I can manage light housekeeping, meal preparation, and routine schedule maintenance like bath time or bedtime. I have reliable transportation and don't mind attending doctors appointments or taking children to extracurricular activities.
