Hello families! My name is Jessica, and I bring a warm, experienced, and dependable approach to childcare. I hold a master’s degree in teaching and have worked with children of all ages—from infants through teenagers—in traditional schools, nature centers, and private family care. I also homeschool my own children, which keeps me deeply engaged in child development, creativity, and the art of negotiating with tiny people. I am also a certified assistant teacher in the Cedarsong Way, a pedagogy centered on child-led, nature-immersive learning. As a parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your children. Both of my children were born prematurely, so I am especially comfortable caring for infants and attentive to their unique needs. I’m just as comfortable soothing a baby as I am teaching ABCs to preschoolers, helping older kids with homework, or talking about Shakespeare with high Read more schoolers. My daughter also has food allergies, so I understand the importance of safety, awareness, and careful planning. In addition, I hold a current Basic Life Support certification, including CPR, First Aid, and AED training. Most of all, I bring patience, responsibility, fun, and a calm presence—plus a knack for finding missing shoes and favorite stuffed animals.
