Hi! I’m a senior at Depaul University studying psychology. I work at a Montessori elementary school when I’m home from college. I love watching kids learn and grow and helping them to figure out how to do things by themselves. My favorite ages to work with are infant to 6 years old, but am comfortable with any age group. I’m taking classes in child development to help expand my knowledge and skills. A lot of how I interact with kids is based on the “Montessori method” because that is the setting that I primarily work with and that is how I grew up from ages 4-12. This basically means that I talk to the kid as if they are an adult (using language they understand) and guide them rather than do things for them. I’ve been babysitting since I was in 8th grade in various situations ranging from mother’s helper Read more to being the only adult with the kids for a week while parents were away.
