Hi, families! 💛 My name is Reyna, I’m 31 years old, and I’m a proud mom to an 8-year-old whom I homeschool. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and have experience working with the North Texas Community Foundation. My childcare experience includes nannying for two boys from birth until they were 3 and 5 years old, when their family moved away. I also cared for my sister’s twins from birth until they were 2 while she lived in Texas. These experiences, along with raising and homeschooling my own child, have shaped my approach to caregiving and deepened my appreciation for each child’s individuality. I believe children learn and grow in many different ways, and I love approaches to learning that extend beyond traditional methods. Whether we’re exploring nature, creating art, asking questions, discovering new interests, or using our imaginations through Read more play, I believe childhood should be filled with opportunities to explore, learn, and grow at each child’s own pace. My approach to caregiving centers on nurturing each child’s unique personality, encouraging curiosity, and fostering a genuine love for the world around them. I value kindness, empathy, acceptance, and respect, and believe children learn these qualities best when they see them modeled in everyday life. I want to help children feel confident in who they are while learning to appreciate and celebrate the differences in others. Above all, I strive to create a nurturing, engaging environment where children feel heard, valued, and free to be themselves. I would love to partner with a family that shares these values and wants their children to grow into confident, creative, compassionate individuals who approach the world with curiosity and open hearts. I look forward to making each day meaningful, creative, and full of discovery!
