Hello future family, My Name is Annika, and I am a bubbly 29 year-old who lives in Woodbury, MN with my husband Nate, and our sweet goofball of a dog, Kota. We both love art and the outdoors, music and movies, and kids, although we don’t have our own (yet). Consider me your “modern Mary Poppins,” as I enjoy structure and continuous learning, but through adventure and play! I started my childcare career in fifth grade as a babysitter and continued doing so throughout the years. My love for kids (since I was a baby) came from my mom who was an in-home daycare provider for 10 years, and believed children learn best through having fun. Then, in high school, I became our church's nursery caregiver. In college, I nannied for a beautiful family of five that turned into a family of six, with four children, Thomas, Hannah, Simon, and Read more Julia, ranging from age 10 to newborn. I loved the experience, and only stopped because they were back in my hometown, and my college was far away. I love creating experiences for kids whether it be being crafty, going to a park or beach, seeing a new museum, or trying new foods, and I am a very strong believer that kindness is key. I took lifeguard training in high school where I completed CPR and first aid training, and I just recently got re-certified with the American Health Care Academy scoring 100% on my test!
