I am a graduate of Baruch College who majored in public affairs. My experience with children (ages 2-8 year olds) comes from being a camp counselor for 6 years at the Great Neck School District - Allenwood Camp. I am also a former early literacy specialist from the Parent-Child Home program, international network of program sites provides low-income families with the necessary skills and tools to ensure their children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life. I worked here for two years. Lastly, I worked in a daycare for a year with infants ages 6 months - 18 months. I have several years babysitting and occasional tutoring for families. I’m fluently bilingual in English and Spanish. Current Certifications: Wilderness First Responder, CPR Certified (Adult and Child), Epinephrine Auto-Injector certification. We searched 3 long months to find a nanny for our son, who was 4 months at the time. He is our first born, so we were a bit nervous about having someone else take care of our baby, and also unsure how to know who would be a right fit for our family. After several interviews and trial dates with other nannies, we finally found Freda. We have been working with Freda for 3 months now, and our family couldn't be happier. She is kind, engaging, bright, reliable and trustworthy - a true delight, and a natural caretaker. Our son loves her just as much as we do, and we wholeheartedly recommend her.
