Hello! My name is Grace Gowin. I am 26, and currently seeking employment as a part time nanny/babysitter. I graduated from John Tyler Community College in 2017 with a certification in Early Childhood Development and Education. Through the certification, I was trained in different teaching methods, health and safety measures, developmental milestones, constructive, healthy ways to enforce discipline, dietary needs of different age groups, and using play experiences as learning opportunities. I have worked extensively with children of all ages throughout the last several years in numerous work and volunteer positions. These positions included assistant teaching in the toddler room at Mechanicsville Christian Center, serving as a MOPS childcare provider, and working with special needs children in their Sunday school class (also at Mechanicsville Christian Center). I have also been a full time nanny for almost 7 years now for 6 children in three families (ages ranging from a 3 Read more day old newborn to 8 years old). I have loved having the opportunity to become such a big part of the families I’ve worked with, and deeply cherish the relationships I’ve built with their children. Teaching, caring for, and playing with children are the things I enjoy more than anything, and I consider it the greatest thrill and privilege to continue finding employment and enjoyment as a nanny of little ones.
