She reached out to us looking for an interview. We scheduled one with her. The day of, we got a message saying their was a "family emergency" and she could not come. 1) The "family emergency" excuse happens more than people think. 2) Scheduling and cancelling at the last minute takes an interview slot away from someone else who really would want the job. 3) If a better option came up, just say that. We get it, you are looking for a job, but honesty goes a lot farther than a simple text, and then stopping all communication.
