Hi! My name is Gloria, and I’m a mother with professional experience supporting children and families. I enjoy helping children feel safe, valued, and encouraged as they learn and grow. As an Assistant Educator at NYAP La Jornada, I supported daily classroom routines, provided individual and small-group learning support, and helped children with different learning, language, emotional, and behavioral needs. This experience strengthened my ability to adapt activities to each child, guide behavior with patience, and communicate clearly with families. My qualifications include Child Care and Preschool Assistant certifications, as well as training in CPR/AED and First Aid for adults, children, and infants. I also have training in trauma-informed care, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and crisis prevention.
