Recent Nursing Graduate | Pediatric Experience | BLS/CPR/Pediatric Advanced Life Support | Former Gymnastics & Dance Coach | STEM Tutor Hi! I’m Delicia! I recently graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing after previously earning my Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and I currently work part-time in healthcare at an urgent care. I have several years of experience working with children through summer day camps, gymnastics coaching, dance instruction, tutoring, and mentoring STEM subjects. I also completed a pediatric clinical rotation at Cohen Children’s Hospital. I’m BLS, CPR, PALS, ACLS, and CNA certified, and my healthcare experience has taught me how to stay calm, patient, and reassuring when someone is sick, hurt, scared, or having a difficult day. At my urgent care job, I regularly care for both children and adults and have experience with everything from taking vital signs and performing basic assessments to responding to urgent situations. Outside of Read more healthcare, I absolutely love working with kids! I competed in gymnastics for 7 years and coached gymnastics for a year, and I have also taught dance. I enjoy keeping kids active and engaged rather than simply sitting in front of a screen. I’m especially interested in nature, science, and the outdoors, so I’d be happy to take the kids to the park, go on walks, explore outside, or turn everyday activities into little learning opportunities. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, so I’m very comfortable helping with homework, particularly math and science/STEM subjects. I’ve also worked with older children through tutoring and mentoring. My previous work experience has helped me develop strong communication, patience, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. I’m happy to help with light cooking, cleaning, and keeping the kids’ spaces tidy — and I LOVE to bake, so I’m always down for a fun baking activity! 🧁 Most importantly, I want parents to feel comfortable knowing their children are with someone who is responsible, attentive, caring, and safety-conscious.
